The Beechcraft 99 Airliner was the first aircraft type used by Britt Airlines in the Allegheny Commuter system and was the workhorse of the company for nearly 20 years. Ultimately configured for 13 passengers, this unpressurized aircraft was extremely reliable and sturdy. Most pilots at Britt flew this aircraft at one time or another and the maintenance department enjoyed their simplicity and strength.
